Service Programs

Besides the strolling and step show success which come and go, the three things that we never let fade is the Brotherhood, the Scholarship, and the Service. In order to give back to the community both on and off campus we have started a few service programs that we have continued to do for many years.

  • Sigma School - Every week students come to the Black House (located on 1914 Sheridan Rd) to enjoy a time of great fellowship as well as effective studying. Whether you are needing help on a certain subject or simply looking for people to be around while you do work or talk, we are here to provide a place and atmosphere where you can do so.

  • Mentoring at Washington Elementary

  • The EMBODI Program in partnership with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

  • Sigma Sleepout for the Homeless - One of our most enjoyable events of the year is our Sigma Sleepout. During this time we reach out to local businesses and others and ask for donations that will go to a Homeless organization in the area. Apart from raising money, we also come together and spend a night outside as a reminder that although it may only be a few hours for us, it can be days, weeks or years for many of the homeless population around and outside our area.
